Lazar's A-A. Lazar reraised Dannenmann preflop and
Michael (Mike) pushed all-in. The Flop was K-Q-6, giving Michael (Mike) "The
Mouth" a set of Kings. The crowd went nuts. The
turn was the deuce of hearts, which brought three hearts
on the board. Lazar had the Ace
of hearts. Matusow
had the King of hearts. The river was the Jack of hearts,
giving Lazar an Ace-high
flush.. On the second hand,
Lazar doubled up. The crowd went wild with screaming
and whistling.
5:11 p.m. ... All-in with Steven (Steve) Dannenmann's A-Q vs.
Brad Kondraki's 10-10. The flop was all spades: Q-J-4.
The turn was the 2h. The river was the 9 of spades and Brad Kondraki caught a four-card river flush to
double up. Kondraki has $2.6M now.
5:33 p.m. ... Michael (Mike) Matusow raised poker pro player poker pro player andrew (Andy) Black's big
blind. On the board of J-5-6-10, poker pro player poker pro player andrew (Andy) Black bet $1M,

the Australia flag.
10:23 p.m. ... On the very next hand, Scott Lazar
made a "tiltish' call and pushed all in with Q-10.

was 8-5-3 with two spades. The turn was a rag and the
river was a King and poker pro player andrew (Andy) Black scooped the pot. Scott
Lazar finished in 6th place and won $1,500,00 for his
great work. That's how tough the WSOP can be. On two
hands you can lose your entire stack and all the work
you did for a week gets thrown out the window.

4s. The flop was A-8-J and the crowd erupted. The Irish
fans started singing. The turn was a rag and the river

The Irish railbirds began singing as Black increased

1:23 a.m. ... On a flop of K-10-7 with two flush cards,
Tex Barge check raised, Aaron Kanter check reraised
Tex's check raise and Joseph (Joe) Hachem folded. Tex thought
for a second and reraised. Kanter sat and thought for
a long time. He stared at his chips for a few minutes
and moved all-in. Tex stood up, put his hands on his
hips, thought for two minutes and called. Tex had K-7
for two pair and Kanter had K-5. There was about $21M
in the pot, the largest pot in the history of the WSOP.
The turn was a Queen and it gave Kanter more outs.
The river was a Jack and Tex Barge doubled up and moved
into the chip lead.

more outs. The river was a 3 and the Aussie chant flooded
the room when Hachem doubled up. He's got about $5M.
2:02 a.m. ... Classic No Limit Texas Hold'em confrontation:
A-K vs. 10-10. You have to win with A-K and beat A-K
if you want to win a tournament. poker pro player andrew (Andy) Black pushed
in with 10-10 and Steven (Steve) Dannenmann called with A-K.
The flop was all rags. The turn was a King and that
killed poker pro player andrew (Andy)'s chances. poker pro player andrew (Andy) looked so sad when he lost.
He finished in 5th place and won $1,750,000. He looked
like he was going to cry and Phil Hellmuth came over
to give him some encouraging words. The crowd gave
him the loudest send off so far. "

over A-Q. The flop: 10-7-7. The crowd let out a collective, "Aaaaah!" That
was Kanter's miracle flop and he held on to win despite
and ace falling on the turn. He doubled up. Kanter's
stack increased to $9M and Tex slipped to $17M.
4:48a.m. ... Two players moved all in and woke everyone
up. Aaron Kanter moved all in with A-9 and Tex Barch
called with J-J. Tex's hand held up when he caught
a set on the river. Aaron Kanter took 4th place and
won $2M for his hard work.
5:15 a.m. ... Updated Chip Count:
